Rehabilitation is defined as the restoration of normal form and function after injury or illness. As the aim of all the practitioners at the Walkley Chiropractic group is to return patients to their pre-injury state, rehabilitation is an important part of any treatment programme. With a dedicated rehabilitation room in our South Bunbury Clinic with state of the art equipment such as laser, ultrasound, fitballs, Bosu balls, body blades, medicine balls, rehabilitation tubing ,wobble boards, TENS and traction tables as well as expertise in dry needling, rehabilitation, strengthening and injury management, various massage and stretching therapies, kinesio tape and Graston technique, the practitioners of Walkley Chiropractic Group are able to provide a level and range of services that most people would believe is beyond what would be expected from their local chiropractor.
For patients who are receiving treatment for spinal complaints but display a degree of instability, a programme of spinal rehabilitation will be given. This will consist of a set of structured spinal strengthening and strengthening exercises. The patient will be assessed, instructed on how to perform these exercises and given a printed sheet of the exercises. The patient will then be re-assessed after a period of time and given an updated set of exercises when required.
